Cahoon Hollow Beach is one of the premier surf spots on the Outer Cape in massachusetts, sitting along the exposed Atlantic-facing shoreline of Wellfleet where powerful open-ocean swells arrive with little obstruction. The beach faces WSW into the ocean through its transect, but the broad east-facing coastline funnels northeast and east swells into punchy, fast-breaking beach break peaks that can deliver solid barrels on the right sandbar setups. Fall is the prime season when hurricane swells and nor'easters push quality surf, drawing experienced riders from across the New England region.
