Satellite Beach, home to the RC's break, is the marquee wave of Brevard County's coquina reef corridor and hometown break of former WCT twin pros C.J. and Damien Hobgood. The coquina rock shelf produces a left-breaking reef that can deliver long, hollow waves peeling for up to 200 meters on solid swells. The ocean floor shifts daily as sand moves over the coquina, so break character changes rapidly.
