Main Street Pier is the epicenter of Daytona Beach surfing, with defined peaks on both sides of the pier. The north side's "Pier Bowls" section produces the punchiest waves, getting hollow on SE and E swells. The south side is more mechanical and favors S swells. A surfing hotspot since the 1960s and still the hub of the local surf scene.
