La Selva is a hidden gem on Puerto Rico's northeast coast within the Northeast Ecological Corridor near Luquillo, accessed via a long dirt road and a mile-long walk through tropical vegetation. The mix of beach and reef break produces both lefts and rights, with a sandy right reef/point wrapping in on bigger N/NE swells. The backdrop of El Yunque rainforest makes it one of the most scenic surf spots on the island. Rarely crowded even when there are waves.
